The Hunters iJournal
Predicting your hunt has never been easier! You know, the best part about a hunting journal is the ability to look back and recall hunts, and even view pictures affiliated with your hunts by adding them to the same hunt data in a nice neat package. Even better would be the ability to view all your collected hunting data and bagged game results in pre-made charts and even graphs over a period of time, say several seasons or more, to understand what’s working and what isn’t. Our fish and game departments do it on a mass scale, why shouldn’t we do it for our own hunts and at a minimum document where we hunted and how many bagged game we got to learn something from it? A hunting journal for your iPhone is just the thing to use.
That’s where the Hunter’s iJournal comes in. This tool allows you to compare and contrast information you’ve gathered about your hunting experience and then graph it to view the data in easily understood terms. http://HuntersiJournal.com
A hunting journal is great, but how about learning something from all the hunts you record. If you don’t use a hunting journal, then now is the time to start. You can even enter old data from previous years into the Hunter’s iJournal to bring it all to new life. How? Well, again, if you could chart and graph hunting results in ready-made reports that you don’t have to mess with, then you’ve just brought to life old data that was not previously easily understood or assimilated. Not only are they great memories, but now you can actually learn something from it.

The other cool feature about the Hunter’s iJournal is you control how you create your seasons, and it’s all very easy to use. Example: You could record big game hunts, varmint hunts, waterfowl and upland game hunts and it’s even flexible enough to document memorable single event hunts that were very important in your life, such as an “African Big Game Hunt”. You get the idea, but why just let the events sink away in your ever fading memory when the tool is available right now to record those hunts?
After you put the basic hunt data into the Hunter’s iJournal, you can even share your hunts on facebook or in email with the simple click of an icon because the program is nicely configured to integrate with those iPhone apps. I like to send an email right after I have a great hunt to my pals who dogged me for less important things, such as work! I put the hunt results into the iPhone Hunter’s iJournal app while I’m sitting in my truck before I leave the field, then hit send….even if I’m not in cell range the email just queues up and sends when I get within range. My pictures and data are automatically formatted for email, or even for my facebook account!!
The tool is easy to use because we’ve pre-built the data tables for the types of game that you hunt, and will work for guys who hunt in Africa as well! (Examples below show Big Game and Waterfowl pre-entered data that can be searched and scrolled through). You can customize the game lists.
